# Setup Forward Messages Moderation

This ZTS Guard Discord Bot feature prevents scammers from exploiting Discord's message forwarding capability — a feature that servers cannot natively disable. Scammers often post a message in a different server, and then forward to a Discord Server with that message typically including a scam link or mimicking support; all being scams.

## Enable Forward Message Protection

Within `#ZTS-Guard-Admin` channel type `/setup` → `Forward` → `Enable`. Which now fully enables this feature from deleting any forwarded messages and then sends a log to `#zts-guard-logs` channel.

## Set exemptions

Within the `forward` menu, Select `Exempt` and choose which roles should be allowed to forward messages. This is based on roles, and most Admin, Team, or Mod roles do tend to forward messages from one channel to another.

Use exemptions sparingly. Message forwarding is rarely needed in most Discord servers.

## Review exempted roles

Within the `forward` menu, Select `List` to view all currently exempted roles. If you want to add or remove any roles, go to the `Exempt` section and add or remove from the dropdown.
