# Setup Nitro Boost Alerts

This `ZTS Guard` Discord Bot feature allows teams to set a role to get pinged within a specific channel when your Discord server gains or loses a nitro boost.

This is particularly important to make you aware if your server drops below 14 nitro boost because if it does then you can lose your vanity URL. You must maintain [14 nitro boost (Level 3) to keep your vanity url](https://support.discord.com/hc/en-us/articles/115001542132-Custom-Invite-Link).

Therefore if your Discord servers nitro boost drop below 14 nitro boost, the role you selected will get a ping, and your team can act quickly to reboost and then reinstate the vanity url.  Many scammers have watchers on popular Discord servers vanity urls in attempts to register it the moment it becomes available which then can direct community members thinking they are joining a legit server but end up in a scam server.

### Create the channel

Create a channel called `#zts-nitro-logs`.

If this is the **only feature** you're using (meaning the bot does not have Admin permissions), add the `ZTS Guard` Bot role to the channel with these permissions only:

* View Channels
* Send Messages
* Mention @everyone, @here, and All Roles
* Read Message History

### Open the Boost Notifications Settings menu

Within the `#zts-guard-admin` channel, type `/setup` → `Boost notification settings` →`Set notifications` , from here you will select which channel and which role you want the `ZTS Guard` Discord Bot to send role pings into.  You should select the previously setup `#zts-nitro-logs` for the channel.\

It is recommended to setup a new role that has no permissions and assign it to **Admins**, **Team**, or **Mod** members who should get the ping.

The `ZTS Guard` Discord bot will ping every single time a nitro boost is added or removed from the server, therefore depending on activity in your server it may ping a lot which is why we recommend creating a seperate cosmetic role.  It is recommended to also exempt this channel from any mass mention filters by Wick or other bots to prevent a false positive quarentine or blocking of the feature.
